Championship Age Categories 2009
You can only qualify for one age group in a season.
For the sake of new members and to remind others, those members who have a birthday in 2009 that takes them over a 5-year threshold the following will apply.
Group 1 - Birthdays from 1 January to date of the 1st race in the series. (1 Jan – 31 Jan)
Will compete in the higher age group, as all their races will be at that age.
Group 2 – Birthdays from the day after the 1st race to the date of the 7th race. (1 Feb –?)
Have a choice of the age group in which they will compete as they can run at least 6 races in the higher age category. They must nominate their choice before the start of the 1st race.
If they choose the higher age group, results in races before they reach that age will not be included in any age group results, but will be included in the overall Championship results.
Group 3 – Birthdays from the day after the 7th race to 31 December. (?– 31 Dec)
Will compete in the lower age group, as they cannot run 6 races at the higher age.
If you fall into Group 2, I need to know in which age group you wish to compete but I will automatically include you in the lower age group unless you inform me otherwise before the first race.
