A beautiful evening for CFR's Latterbarrow Loop - this year a CFR Championship race.
On the start line, there was a little history lesson of the River Man and River Belle trophies (donated by Irving Block). They were later awarded to CFR's Sophie Noon and local farmer George Crayston for being first male and female to sprint the 800m to the Calder River and "thrash" through it to get to the other side.
Keswick AC's fast-paced Lord's Seat race saw a huge CFR contingent, all vying for Championship points and an enjoyable mid-week evening out racing.
A lightning-fast trail pace saw Mark Likeman storm into Championship contention with a clear 1st place CFR position (and overall 7th) for the men. At the sharp end of the ladies, Sophie Noon collected a cool 100 CFR Championship points and was 2nd lady overall to Keswick's Hannah Horsburgh.
A great Coledale Horseshoe for the 3rd CFR Senior Champs race – some fantastic racing and impressive results.
A painful-looking tumble for Phil Archer near the end saw Rob Stein finish with the top spot. The resulting hospital visit means Phil needs a bit of recovery time – get well soon!
